A Walk With the Night

baring my shoulders
the moon breathing down
I strip the thoughts I’m wearing
a swamp at my feet.

the silence is already a hood over my head
with its tail coiled around me.

the wind is a see-through robe
studded with the oceans that I have swum.
the starfish I have played with on the shores
I see them
washed up sea shells
pinned against the swords of the sun.

a cloud is just passing across the moon
and I too brush along
an ivy dust
inside an iris of a meteorite ;
galloping
I catch my breath
I fall on to this moment…..
and yes !
my eyes are open wide.
