I Am Earth

Crumbling down on to the earth
I become its outer crust
Rigid like a tarred path way
I then turn to sand and dust.
I even taste the rusty stiffness
Its own blended extracts
To think we are so different
It’s our human weakness.
I feel its pulse deep inside
Holding on to all torment
But yet when I look closer
There is nothing to be seen.
Even that has been released
It’s beyond us to comprehend
To think we cannot be like that
It is our human weakness.
