The night has tightened, its dark cloak
The restless have settled, but not their woes
The light within me flickers, not to the breeze
Slowly my chin falls, and rests on the chest.
What if I die now ? My head is raised
Can’t you see the pain, with its rolling waves ?
The wariness is chased, and I focus again
The bugs get forgotten, as I strive to gain.
Sleep it passes, its shadow is cast
It lurks behind, my mental states.
I rise as if armed, for battle with the world
Treading slowly, hanging on to my awareness.
My stomach churns, it burns from fast
I see the hands, that clench my thoughts
I summon the names, of the noble ones
My eyes are fully open now.
